Congratulations !

All of the staff would like to congratulate the participants of this years PEI Marathon. Our hats go off to everyone who took part in each category and distance, all ages and abilities are represented in this great event each year.

Jen Nicholson and Stanley Chaisson captured the top step on the podium for their excellent efforts.

Jen took 1st place for her second year in a row in the women's Marathon with a time of 2:53:22, this blistering time shaved three minuets off her previous best time thus setting a new course record.

Stanley ran a personal and course best time of 2:32:58. With this new course record he writes his name in the history books and raises the bar higher which had been previously set by David MacLellan ( NS ) of 2:39:17 (2004).

Both Jen and Stanley qualified for the Boston Marathon with their results.
Well done everyone!

Beluga Whale spotted in Charlottetown Harbor

It's true....... I have four witnesses to prove it ! During our Tuesday night paddle we saw a Beluga Whale in the Charlottetown Harbor . It breached for air roughly 15 times during our spotting and before long it was off in the distance under the Hillsborough bridge .

Not a single one of us had our trusted cameras to prove the spotting but I'm sure there will be another spotting documented in the local media.
